Two Russian Silver Tobacco Boxes, Moscow, a snuff box, 1849, maker's mark Be, niello decorated, lid and base engraved with scenes of a castle or cathedral against gold-washed ground, wd. 2 5/8; and a cigarette case, late 19th century, maker's mark JA, engraved to lid with a troika scene, wd. 3 3/4 in., approx. 6 troy oz. niello box: minor age wear, and light surface scratching (mainly at base). cigarette case: a few light dings to edge of base near hinge.
