Gold-plated Sterling Model of a Lady Slipper by Janna Thomas for Tiffany & Co. , Mexico, mid-20th century, highly realistically modeled, on small ovoid naturalistic base, ht. 9 1/2 in., sold with a Janna Thomas sterling candle snuffer, the snuffer formed as a wrapped piece of bark, mounted with holly leaves and a bell suspended on small chain, the handle ending in a further bell, lg. 9 1/4 in., (2 items total), approx. 13 troy oz. lady slipper: some flaking and loss of gold plating to top of stem at curve below top leaf. slight bend to top leaf, and top of one of the large, lower leaves. snuffer with chain broken at cone, so bell is currently off, but present.
