Three-piece Chinese Export Silver Tea Set, Hong Kong, late 19th century, Wang Hing & Co. , makers, comprising tapered ovoid teapot, open sugar, and creamer, all heavily chased and embossed with scenes of processions and nobles on verandas, with bamboo-form handles, teapot lid with dragon mask finial, and with presentation inscription dated '85, teapot ht. 5 5/8 in., approx. 38 troy oz. total. sugar with small metal tear at top of one handle (approx. 1/4"), and showing light surface scratching from overly abrasive cleaning. teapot handle slightly loose. overall minor age wear to surface decoration. teapot inscription with wear. Reads: "Presented by Colonel Foster and Officers Second Northamptonshire Regiment to Major Chaytor on the ocassion of his marriage 11 11 85"
