Chinese Export Silver Cup, Hong Kong or Shanghai, late 19th century, Leeching, maker, the pear-shaped body chased and embossed with a dense, continuous scene of a battle and onlookers, with central shield engraved with Chinese inscription, with two stylized dragon-form loop handles, the tiered lid with girdled ball finial, shell, bead, and chrysanthemum banding, on low foot with conforming flower and shell band flanked by beading, ht. 12 1/8 in., approx. 43 troy oz. foot needs to be reattached to body (screw connecting foot and body had been soldered to base of body; soldering now broken). overall minor age wear.
