Large Chinese Export Silver Trophy Urn, Hong Kong, late 19th century, Wang Hing & Co. , makers, the large vessel fully chased and embossed with a dense scene of battles and receptions before nobility, with floral lambrequins at neck, with bamboo and bamboo leaf-form loop handles, the domed lid with dragon head finial, on reeded foot with leaftip rim, the front roundel engraved with presentation inscription dated for the Selangor Races and dated 1893, ht. 20 1/2 in., approx. 77 troy oz. good, with minor age wear. light bends to tips of bamboo leaves at handles, with one with loss to one end. engraved: "Selangor Races 1893 Mava Cup Presented by the Indian Mercantile Community won by Romano"
