George II Silver Covered Cup, London, 1734, maker's mark partially rubbed, ovoid, chased and embossed with reeding and fluting, and stamped with bands of trefoils and acorns, with cast ear handles, domed foot, and domed lid with reeded urn-form finial, monogrammed, ht. 7 1/4 in., approx. 14 troy oz. lid finial bent slightly, and pushed into top of lid a bit. light pinpoint at monogrammed roundel. marks OK, but maker's mark partially rubbed (T?). underside of foot with later presenation engraving dated 1895. overall age typical light wear.
