Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, urn-form, with peaked lid with urn finial, leaf-topped serpentine spout and handles, on trumpet foot, upper rims with beading, body with Greek key rims, monogrammed, ht. 13 1/2 in., 35 troy oz. a pinpoint to monogrammed side, and a light ding to the other. engraved to inner edge of footrim: Presented to my Dear Wife, Oct. 6th 1859 by L.B. Nichols.
