Six Silver and Silver Plate Matchsafes, late 19th/early 20th century, five sterling: two American including an ovoid with vertical beading, and an acid-etched with an Art Nouveau maiden, and two Birmingham including a 1920, with printed enamel plaque of a fox hunter to front, the other 1901, engraved with scrolls; and two silver plate, one a souvenir of Dudley Castle, with compass to front, and peephole with scenic view to lid, and a double-lidded stamped with champagne bottles, lg. 1 3/4 to 2 7/8 in., approx. 3 troy oz. weighable silver. sterling: rocaille scrolled at lid with denting to center of one side; ovoid with a few pinpoints; art nouveau maiden with light surface wear, with plain reverse with some pinpoints. silverplate with some rosing/wear to finish, and age typical handling wear; champagne bottle with pinpoints to plain base.
