Gorham Sterling Kettle on Stand, 1874, the ovoid pot with upright handle, the domed lid with reeded finial, body molded with a ribbon-wrapped reeded band at girdle, on heavy square base with tapered uprights and flaring feet, small burner, total ht. 14 in., approx. 64 troy oz. kettle with handle lacking heatstops, and crudely soldered in place at spot where heatstops would be. light dent at rim. dings to handle and a few pinpoints to body. base with pinpoint to one leg. dings to burner. not monogrammed or engraved.
