Six Silver Matchsafes and One Silver Plate Matchsafe, late 19th/early 20th century, three American sterling: a small square with rocaille reeding, a shaped rectangular with rocaille scrolls to lid, and a scroll engraved and monogrammed to front; three English sterling: one London, 1887, with heavy plan and scroll engraved diagonal reeding, a Birmingham, 1888, with engine turning, and a Chester, 1901, engraved with foliate scrolls; with a silver plate souvenir of India or Thailand, formed as a lion's tooth with elephant to lid, monogrammed and dated 1907, lg. 1 1/4 to 3 in., approx. 4 troy oz. weighable silver. the two larger American examples with some denting to plain, rear surfaces. floral engraved Chester with slight opening of seam at front edge of lid. all with some minor overall age/usage wear.
