Wedgwood Majolica Dolphin Candlestick, England, c. 1867, polychrome decorated and modeled as a dolphin with upturned tail supporting a candle nozzle, set on a raised rectangular base adorned with pectin shells, impressed mark, ht. 9 3/4 in. Literature: Illustrated in Majolica by N. Dawes, figure 124. Restored rim chips to nozzle; chip touched up to a fin; small nicks surrounding base.
