Pair of Wedgwood Majolica Bacchanalian Figures, England, c. 1870, after Clodion, polychrome decorated and modeled as figures depicting Faun and Bacchante , Faun holding fruiting grapevines, Bacchante holding dead game, impressed marks, ht. 16 in. Faun: Restored to raised arm at elbow, "bells" and back foot. Bacchante: Restored to one shoulder and stick, bird wing, raised leg at ankle. Allover crazing to the glaze.
