Wedgwood Queen's Ware Mermaid Vase, England, c. 1875, modeled by Hugues Protat, the round flat-sided vase flanked with mermaid handles and polychrome enamel decorated with children to one side and flowers and butterflies to the reverse attributed to Pepin, impressed mark, ht. 12 in. Literature: Illustrated in Wedgwood I by R. Reilly, plate C41. Missing cover; slight surface scratches to enameling.
