Wedgwood and Bentley Creamware Cassolette, England, 18th century, mottled lead glazed enamels, with gilded cream-colored swags and squared-off handles, reversible as an urn and as a candleholder, tiered black basalt plinth with raised lozenge mark, ht. 11, 11 3/4 in. Cover: slight rim chip. Vase: numerous chips to the inside rim (where the cover sits); one handle broken and simply reglued; gilding well worn; two shallow chips to footrim of the plinth.
