Wedgwood and Bentley Black Basalt Tablet Depicting Venus and Cupid, England, 18th century, also referred to as Day , rectangular shape with high relief figures, attributed to John Bacon Senior, impressed mark, 13 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. Literature: Illustrated in Wedgwood I by R. Reilly, plate 695. Cupid's wing restored otherwise in very good condition throughout. Not examined out of frame.
