Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, painted iron dial with Roman numerals, rope-molded gilded frames enclosing reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting two ships in battle, the waist glass flanked by brass side ornaments, gilded lower pedestal and eight-day brass timepiece movement with iron weight and pendulum, ht. 40 in. waist glass cracked; frames regilded, pedestal is a later addition, glasses repainted.
