Jean Jacques Haffner (American, 1885-1961) Caribbean Village, St. Thomas Inscribed, dated, and signed "St. Thomas 1934 JHaffner" l.r., identified on labels from Doll & Richards, Inc., Boston, the Boston Society of Water Color Painters, and the Museum of Fine Arts Special Loan Exhibition, Boston, on the backing. Watercolor and graphite on paper, sight size 13 3/4 x 20 in. (34.8 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Descended within the families of William Walters (1819-1894), and/or George Harold Edgell (1887-1954). Please refer to lot 15 for more details.
