Ernest Baker (American, fl. circa 1876) Headed for the Harbor Signed and dated "Ernest Baker 1876" l.l. Oil on canvas, 21 1/2 x 35 1/2 in. (54.6 x 90.2 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, varnish inconsistencies, surface rubs, surface grime. Framed with supporting panel on the reverse. The work has not been removed from its frame but it is unlikely that it is mounted to the panel, mild skinning to paint surface, restored tear with retouch at center in u.l. quadrant, largest approx. 2 x 3 in.
