Federal Giltwood and Eglomise Looking Glass, America, c. 1800, the eglomise tablet depicting Liberty holding an American flag and a caduceus staff looking out to sea with a vessel in the distance, original mirror glass, cove-molded frame with carved ropetwists, (loss to corner block, paint losses on tablet), ht. 23 5/8 x 12 1/4 in. A section of the lower right corner block is missing, about 1/3 of the lower chamfered original pine backboard is missing, scattered paint losses on tablet, no evidence of any repaint on tablet.
