American Viola, Wilmer Comstock, Boston, 1964, labeled WILMER E COMSTOCK, BOSTON MASS, 1964, length of two-piece back 16 1/4 in. , 412 mm. Repaired saddle crack, approx. 5 cm, treble side. Slight surface crackle to oil varnish. Slight surface fracture to varnish at treble wing. Small areas of varnish wear to top, and to upper rib shoulder. Slight varnsih chips at edges of top and back.
