Marcus Waterman (American, 1834-1914) Portrait of a Boy and His Dog Signed "M. Waterman" u.l. Oil on canvas, 20 x 16 1/4 in. (50.8 x 41.3 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, varnish inconsistencies, craquelure. Small areas of retouch on the bridge of the nose of the sitter and along the left side of his face, also to fill some areas of craquelure. Craqulure is stable. Painting has been lined and revarnished with a glossy varnish.
