Condition: Puncture with losses c.r., flaking and losses (including area of signature), surface grime. There is a puncture in the canvas measuring 1/4 in length c.r. side. There is paint loss and active flaking in many areas, especially in the u.l. quadrant. Paint loss and flaking in the water, the sky, the sails, and the hull of the sailboat. There is further paint loss along the bottom edge, including through the signature, and areas of canvas are exposed. The paint on the figures appears to be stable and intact. The exposed canvas in the u.r. corner appears to be the intention of the artist, rather than damage or wear. There are minimal tacking edges top and bottom.
