Emile Albert Gruppe (American, 1896-1978) Covered Bridge in Winter Signed "Emile A. Gruppe" l.r. Oil on canvasboard, 16 x 20 in. (40.6 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Slight warping to support, mild scattered pigment fluorescence, extremely mild scattered craquelure, surface grime. Surface grime, including some scattered clear spots of liquid l.r. corner. The "Newton" canvas board is slightly bowed in the center.
