$4,740
William IV Inlaid Mahogany Long Case Clock, c. 1835, works signed William Bucknall, Burslem, hood with swan's neck cresting above an open fretwork tympanum and arched glass door flanked by free-standing columns and enclosing a painted face and works with two-train movement, lunar phases in the arch, seconds dial and date aperture, painted with shells in the spandrels, mid-case with shaped door and engaged quarter-columns with stop-fluting, plinth base with ogee feet, crossbanded throughout, ht. 85 in. All parts are apparently there, both weights, pendulum. Paint loss to lunar arch and heavy cracquelure to paint on face; case with age typical shrinkage to veneers and minor defects; has not been serviced since the mid 20th century, but doesn't look too hard to get running.
