Five Tartanware Boxes, late 19th/early 20th century, comprising a dresser jar in Rob Roy, ht. 3 1/2, dia. 4 1/8; a small round snuff box also in Rob Roy, dia. 1 3/4; a cylindrical McBeth needle/match box, ht. 3 1/4; and two cylindrical matchsafes with striker surfaces to underside, one McBeth, mounted with a small photo print of a young man, ht. 2 3/4, the other Caledonia, with small turned bone lid finial, ht. 3 1/2 in. Rob Roy jar: some lifting of tartan to side, with a slight crack to paper approx. 1" . lid with some restoration to losses. minor age wear to Roby Roy snuff. plain McBeth: minor age wear and surface darkening. smaller McBeth: lacking lid finial. minor edge wear, and age typical craquelure to surface over photo. caledonia: minor edge wear.
