Group of Seventeen Chinese Export Satsuma Porcelain Oyster Dishes, early 20th century, comprising eleven plates with four shell wells, dia. 6 1/2, a single shell-form plate with five shell wells, lg. 9 1/4, and five single shell-form dishes, lg. 4 5/8 in., all with polychrome painted details of flowers and insects, the plates accented with gilt transfer printing; sold together with two Asian-style faience scallop shell-form floral decorated salts, (19 items total). minor gilt wear. one of the faience shell salts broken in half and simply reglued. the 9-1/4" shell-form dish with a small chip to underside of rim (approx. 1/4").
