American Aesthetic Movement Ebonized Pedestal, c. 1885, rectangular inset top above a conforming frame with arched apron carved with flowerheads and checkerboard design, leg supports with engaged quarter columns, plinth base, ht. 44, wd. 15 in. Scratching to marble top; one corner with chipped to wood top; minor rubbing and age typical usage wear; very good otherwise. Likely mahogany under the ebonizing.
