Five Staffordshire Creamware Tankards, England, late 18th century, cylindrical shapes including an undecorated, ht. 6; a black transfer printed with farmer's verse, ht. 5; and three with overglaze enamel flowers, one with simply flowers, ht. 4 5/8; one with verse "It's Out," ht. 4 7/8; and one with verse "O good ale thou art my darling," ht. 4 3/4 in. Undecorated: very good condition throughout. Transfer printed: 1" and 2" rim hairlines; 1 1/2" interior hairline to the lower body that does not go through; several small rim chips. Floral only: slightest rim nick. Floral with "It's Out": two 3/16" rim chips; 1 1/4" rim hairline. Floral with "O" verse: green enamel heavily flaking.
