Manner of Francesco Bianchi Bonavita (Italian, 1593-1658) The Sacrifice of Isaac Unsigned, inscribed "Allori (Cristofano), Ecole Florentine, 1577-1621" on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 32 3/4 x 25 1/2 in. (83.2 x 64.8 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure with cupping, losses, surface grime. N.B. This composition is related to a work of the same subject in the former Scuole Leopoldine, in Florence. Lined. Old repair of tears lower left, (longest is 11 in.), with patch reinforcement (6 x 5 in.) on the reverse. Retouch and craquelure throughout, craquelure with cupping and old losses center left and upper left. Surface grime.
