Condition: Two small repairs with associated retouch c.l. and u.r., small paint loss u.l. Literature: This painting is similar in style to one illustrated in Highlights Among the Hudson River Artists , by Clara Endicott Sears, Houghton Mifflin Co., New York, plate no. 6, titled In the Heart of New Hampshire . Sears was the founder of the Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, Massachusetts.
