Four Assorted 19th Century Quilts, a blue and white printed Oriental scene, a machine-stitched fowl in landscape printed cotton, a hand-stitched pieced cotton basket pattern, and a hand-stitched pieced cotton quilt. Blue and white toile: intact besides hole shown in photograph, patches of brownish toning. Backing composed of two different brown printed fabrics and a section of blue and white toile. Birds: one hold on one end from edge to about 1 foot down; on 1/4 of that end there are approx. 19 holes to the quilt top only, some fraying to binding, and toning. Baskets: no holes, intact, some patches of light brownish stains, frayed binding. Squares: intact, could use re-binding.
