Biedermeier Maple Sewing Table, c. 1820, rectangular top with canted corners lifting to reveal an interior fitted with a plethora of covered containers, ivory implements, a teacup and saucer, lacquer box and faux grained interior; all above a work basket on splayed legs, ht. 31, wd. 22 1/4, dp. 17 1/4 in. Top with numerous back to front shrinkage cracks; all edges with shrinkage throughout; age typical defects.
