Continental Portrait Miniature of a Lady, mid to late 19th century, oval format, likely on ivory, the lady in lace and floral bonnet, pearls, and a pink dress, signed to r. Rein, in engraved gilt-metal surround with seed pearl border, the backing black enamel, bearing paper label identifying the sitter as Kaiserin Marianne Frau von Frankenthal, sight lg. 3 1/4 in., in fitted gilt-embossed red morocco case. Very good to excellent condition to miniature. Case with worn edge, losses to gilding and clasp loose.
