English School, 19th Century Buttermere/After T. L. Rowbotham Inscribed in ink "Buttermere/After T.L. Rowbotham" with a partial stamp "...RATHBONE PLACE." on the reverse. Oil on paper within an oval format, sight size dia. 5 3/4 in. (14.6 cm), framed. Condition: Accretions, staining, and surface grime, acid burn and staining on the reverse. The work is numbered "5432" in a later hand on the reverse. It bears a partial label from Henry Biester Mirrors and Picture Frames, Philadelphia, on the back of the mat.
