Pair of French Louis XV Style Silver Candlesticks, bearing marks for Paris c. 1750, and with maker's mark for Johann Fridrich Bittner, round sconce, with tapered paneled stem molded with shells, on domed base and ogee cast foot, ht. 10 1/4 in., approx. 46 troy oz. the drip pans associated, but also with 18th century hallmarks. one drip pan with solder repair joining pan to callar. minor surface wear. one stick with removal of monogram/crest engraving at top of foot, with related visible scratching to that area. Cast construction. Marks very clear; possibly spurious.
