Continental Silver, Mother-of-pearl, and Tortoiseshell Snuff Box, late 18th century, round, with shell base, and shell lid inlaid with mother-of-pearl pique inlay, central carved shell roundel of a man smoking, with four smaller panels carved with waterbirds, interior of lid with incised note dated 1793, (damage). cracks and sagging to lid, with spots of glue residue, a few losses to round mother of pearl inlays. not hallmarked.
