Continental Renaissance-style Silver and Coconut Shell Standing Cup, likely Hanau, Germany, late 19th century, with Austro-Hungarian-style marks for Salzburg, the oval coconut bisected to form the lidded vessel, with floriform finial, fleur-de-lis border, with strapwork vertical panels to body accented with grotesque masks, one ending in openwork leaves and a grotesque herm, on leaf cutcard work stem, and gold-washed trumpet foot chased and embossed with strapwork at rim, ht. 10 in. losses to some leaves at the cutcardwork of stem. shell of lid somewhat loose in silver mounts. minor age wear.
