Victorian Silver Vanity Set in Box, London, 1894, maker's mark JNM, the rectangular box, with line engraving all over, the lid applied with letter T, blue velvet-lined interior fitted with lightly gold-washed silver pillbox, and vanity box, and with six silver-lidded colorless glass bottles/jars of various sizes, and a silver lidded glass box, all interior lids with line engraving and same applied letter, box 10 1/2 x 6 3/4 x 2 7/8 in. , approx. 8 troy oz. weighable silver. interior structure of case makes weight inaccurate--weight of box including this structure is 49 troy oz. lining around the cylindrical bottles, and spots of lining of lid staining. lining of lid falling down. trim piece of lining loose. lid for storage well not fitting correctly. Silver good. some wear to goldwash, light usage wear, a few teeny fleabites to glass. lacking key.
