Victorian Silver Sealing Wax Case, London, 1896, maker's mark SJ, cylindrical body chased and embossed with rocaille C-scrolls, flowerheads, and acanthus, with lid to each end, one flat, opening to match well, with small chimney and two ball feet, the other lid demilune, with finial formed as a standing harlequin, enclosing wax well, lg. 9 3/8 in., approx. 2 troy oz. minor age/surface wear. containing a fragmentary piece of red "Walken's Royal" wax.
