Russian Gold-washed Silver and Enamel Easter Egg with Bud Vase Interior, Moscow, pre-1896, Antip Kuzmichev, maker, cloisonne enameled with foliate panels, wide band of beaded flowerheads on white ground, central "Christ is Risen" lettering, over further beaded flowers and scrollwork, opening at center to reveal small bud vase with monogram and inscription "Easter 1898," lg. 3 in., approx. 4 troy oz. two edge nicks to rim of lid. nick to cloissone of flowers behind motto band. small spot of restored blue enamel loss between two of the letters. marks a bit rubbed.
