American Empire Coin Silver Presentation Water Pitcher, New York, mid-19th century, Eoff & Shepherd, makers, retailed by Ball, Black & Co. , pear shaped, with short spout and crabstock handle, chased and embossed overall with flowering vine, engraved at neck with leaftip, and raised on openwork flowering crabstock feet, one side with presentation inscription dated 1852, ht. 11 3/4 in., approx. 32 troy oz. good, with minor surface scratching, and a few light dings to the un-engraved cartouche to one side. small spot of green corossion on handle. inscription: To Ald. Peter G. Taylor Chairman of the Street Committee From the gentlemen of the Street Department of the City of Brooklyn January 1st 1852
