Six American Sterling Matchsafes, comprising a mid 19th century example mounted with a medallion of Mercury, one with a scene of a ship finding land with engraved date 1893, a Kerr with Art Nouveau clovers, a small Unger Brothers with scroll edge, a single scroll mounted, and a Simons, Bros. & Co. with rocaille scrolls and corners, monograms, lg. 1 5/8 to 2 3/4 in., approx. 5 troy oz. Unger Bros. with ding to one side. clover with a few light pinpoints. ship landing with some wear to surface decoration/engraving. with overall minor usage wear throughout.
