Sterling Baskets, one 1870-75, the other 1873-91, oval bowl with milled leaftip rim, the ends mounted with a bust of a goddess, flanked by wheat stems and fruiting grapevine, with finely ribbed tapering swing handle with corn stalk accenting applied at ends, interior and oval trumpet foot with matte finish, lg. 10 3/4, ht. to handle 10 in., approx. 53 troy oz. 1870-75: minor compression to domed ovoid to the center of the interior, and two very light pinpoints. minor light age wear. 1873-91: good, with minor light age wear. possibly lacquered. no monograms
