Théophile Alexandre Steinlen (Swiss/French, 1859-1923) Number 103 from LE MIRLITON, 1893. Signed in the matrix, identified in inscriptions "...modele du colores par Steinlen" and signed "Aristide Bruant" in ink on the mat. Photo-process print with hand-coloring, probably by Steinlen, on paper, image size 12 x 8 3/4 in. , matted, unframed. Condition: Unobtrusive toning, glued to facing mat within margins. Provenance: Through the collection of Sylvan Cole, Associated American Artists Gallery.
