Framed 1826 Needlework Sampler, "Susanna Owen was born July the 27th 1816/Worked her sampler in her 10th year AD 1826," worked in silk threads on a linen ground, with rows of alphabets over a pious verse and small motifs including a basket of flowers, flanked by birds, cherubs, and peacocks, enclosed in a geometric border, (fading, toning), sight size 18 x 17 1/4 in. , in a later molded wooden frame.
