Marion Boyd Allen (American, 1862-1941) Montezuma Castle Signed and dated "Marion Boyd Allen/1934" l. l., titled and inscribed on the reverse, oil on canvasboard, 14 x 12 in., framed. Condition: Bowing to the support, worn at the corners, surface grime, minor staining on the reverse. Inscriptions on the reverse read, "#9808", "Ruins of Cliff Dwellings/built in early eleven hundreds/"Montezuma Castle"/30 miles from Flagstaff, Arizona." with "Dorothy Dunn Dempsey, property of" added in a later hand.
