Wady, London, circa 1765, the stepped base with mahogany inlay, molded cornice top supported by four freestanding columns, unusual sliding glazed door over the 6 in. composite brass dial, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, oval name boss engraved Jno. Wady London , mock pendulum aperture, alarm setting disc at the base of the blued-steel hands, matted center, day-of-the-month dial in the arch, cast brass spandrels and eight-day, time and alarm, verge escapement movement with quarter and hour repeat on command on a nest of seven bells, two alarm hammers, fully engraved backplate and short bob pendulum, ht. 12 3/4 in. case refinished, side wooden sound frets are replacements, minor inlay losses.
