Scottish Georgian Mahogany Long Case Clock, last quarter 18th century, signed Thomas Stewart, Auchterarder, swan's neck cresting above an arched door and two Corinthian column supports, enclosing an engraved brass face, two-train movement and subsidiary seconds dial; mid-case with shaped door and engaged columns with brass capitals and bases, all on a paneled plinth base, ht. 89 1/2 in. Moderate to heavy shrinkage cracking to both front doors and base; works ill-fitting in case; age typical damage.
