Chippendale Carved Mahogany Dining Table, probably Boston, c. 1760-80, on cabriole legs ending in carved claw-and-ball feet, joined by a shaped skirt, old refinish, (repairs), ht. 28, wd. 47 3/4, dp. 45 3/4 in. used beautifully figured lumber; one leaf patched on underside to compensate for knot; patches at one hinge underside; patches at the joint; some replaced glue blocks, added wood screws; top with shrinkage to follow grain; loss on underside of leaf at edge; underside of one leaf scooped out to compensate for shrinkage; table with very good color overall.
