Edwin and Mary Scheier Large Decorated Pottery Vase Art pottery New Hampshire, 1972 Tall cylindrical form funneling to base, incised border of two opposing figures covered by a stylized blanket with hands joined end to end and outlined in sky blue on brown ground, marked Scheier on base, ht. 22 1/4 in. Provenance: Purchased at The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in 1972 as a gift. Note: This legendary couple is featured in a PBS documentary "Four hands, One heart." The Currier Museum in New Hampshire has an extensive collection of the late couple's body of work.
